Biography  

Mrs. Yei Zigbuo Williams received her BSW degree from Methodist University, Fayetteville, North Carolina and her MSW degree from Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville North Carolina (Child Welfare Education Collaborative Graduate).

Mrs. Williams is a part time adjunct professor in the Department of Social Work. Mrs. Williams has over 16 years of social work experience covering child welfare (Child Protective Services) and mental health case management.  She currently is a Program Manager in Child Protective Services in Intake/Extended Duty at the Cumberland County Department of Social Services. In her role as a Child Welfare Program Manager, Mrs. Williams facilities community partnership efforts with the Cumberland County School System, Cumberland Mental Health, the Law Enforcement Community (LEC), Cape Fear Valley Health System and Womack Army Medical Center as an ongoing means of continuous quality improvement in serving the children and families of Cumberland County.
