The Teaching and Learning Center

Dr. Genevieve Knight, Belk Endowed Professor of Science and Technology, recommends:

A wonderful resource for all higher education faculty!

Technology is essential to our lives as we engage in the everyday activities of the 21st century.  The average person seeks information from the internet or answers to arithmetic situations from an inexpensive hand-held calculator.  Games, music, and other forms of entertainment are easily accessed from cell phones.  Massive loads of information are available  to children as well as adults to use without much thought or understanding.  Students at all levels know how to find information and get an answer but do not have techniques to sift through the maze to find how to make connections and draw conclusions.
