The Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) Program is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. The goal of UBMS is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in fields in math and science and to encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in science, technology, engineering and math. 

Services Provided

• Academic instruction in math, English, Foreign Languages, and science at Saturday Academy
• Tutorial Services 
• Exposure to a variety of colleges and universities
• Mentoring Programs
• Workshops on study skills, math anxiety, note taking and test taking skills.
• Exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers
• Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications
• Assistance in preparing for the SAT/ACT and/or PSAT/PLAN
• Six-week summer research program

What is the cost?

To participate in the program, there is NO COST.  A weekly stipend is given for students participation in all activities during the school year and in the summer programs.
