CURRICULUM

To graduate from Fayetteville State University, students must complete the Core Curriculum, including the Freshman Seminar (with certain exceptions), and Upper Division requirements.  The Upper Division includes the major degree program requirements as well as the admission requirements of the Upper Division school or college.

Learning communities represent a new initiative to create connections among courses in the Core Curriculum, to explore subjects across disciplinary lines, and to foster a sense of community among students and faculty.

For complete graduation requirements, refer to the Fayetteville State University Undergraduate Catalog, which is available from the Academics page of the University web site. In general, students must fulfill the requirements of the catalog in effect when they enter the University.  For example, students entering Fall 2005 will be subject to the 2004-2006 Catalog.

"Fayetteville State University is a member institution of The University of North Carolina, which is committed to equality of educational opportunity and does not discriminate against applicants, students, or employees based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability."
