INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY @ FSU

To succeed at FSU, students need some basic information technology skills. At a minimum, students should be able to

  1. Access Banner Self-Service to register for classes, check their grades, etc. (click here for instructions);
  2. Access their FSU e-mail account to check for messages from instructors, staff, and other students.
  3. Access Blackboard, FSU's gateway to online course materials; and
  4. Log in to the network from a campus computer (.pdf format; Adobe Acrobat Reader required to view).

If you own a computer, you may wish to

  1. connect your computer to the network from a residence hall;
  2. connect to wireless access points distributed around campus;
  3. connect to the campus network remotely using Virtual Private Network;
  4. access Chesnutt Library resources remotely.

The links above will take you to the information you need to learn these skills.

New: iNside FSU allows you to access Blackboard, e-mail, Banner, and much more with a single log-in. Use your network username and password to log in.
