5-Week Rising High School Senior Summer Research Internship
Students with a sincere interest in STEM disciplines will participate in more intense, individualized, mentored student/faculty research projects in biology, forensic science, biotechnology, physics, mathematics, computer science and chemistry. Scholars and research mentors will develop a research project and a work agreement detailing the expected time that the scholar will dedicate to conduct the project. Scholars are expected to work through the end of spring semester , and present their research at a Joint Research Symposium during the Summer. The internship will be held from June 17th - July 18th, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (Monday - Friday). The activities will include 1) conducting 5-week long research in applied mathematics, computing, biomedical/biological sciences, education and physical sciences, and 2) STEM career workshops and field trips to research laboratories.
