Student Spotlight

What influenced you to become involved in the arts?
My mom got me started on the path to becoming an artist. When I was little, around four years old, the only thing that would keep me quiet was when my mother put a pencil and paper in front of me; I have been drawing ever since.

What is your favorite medium, and what inspires you?
My favorite medium is digital. It is truly amazing how far my imagination can reach with the use of a computer. I am inspired by all types of fantasy artwork, primarily that of Todd Lockwood.

What are your current projects?
A concept of time project in Introduction to Painting and Computer Graphics Design, as well as several freelance illustrative pieces on my own time.

Why did you choose to come to FSU?
In essence I didn't choose FSU; it choose me. Due to a lot of controversy with several other schools, I ended up here, and I couldn't be happier.

What would you tell a prospective student about coming to FSU?
You can achieve the same level of education at FSU as you can at a prestigious ivy league school, and for a much lower price.
