The Writing Center has current handbooks for MLA and APA style available to be used as reference. If you are interested in checking your documentation, come by and see us. If you would like to access information about using MLA and APA styles online, click on this link to take you to the writing center at Purdue University, which does a wonderful job explaining how to use them.

Keep in mind that documentation isn't the only key to avoiding plagiarism. You must also learn how to paraphrase without using the author's words. If you are unsure of yourself in this area, come by the Writing Center or click here to check your work against the advice offered by Purdue University.
