Debra Johnson

Adjunct Lecturer

Debra M. Johnson, LCSW, is a well-respected clinician, educator and clinical supervisor who serves full time as the Ft. Bragg, team coordinator for an innovative program designed by the Department of Defense to increase access and minimize stigma for Military families and veterans who need non-medical mental health services. Mrs. Johnson concurrently owns and operates a private mental health practice that has served over 600 clients from age 4 to 74. She has served as Adjunct Faculty in the School of Social Work since 2012 teaching courses to both undergraduate and graduate social work student scholars. She is known to be highly competent yet approachable, authentically engaging and passionate about social work as a profession. She has a natural entrepreneurial mind and is a systems based thinker, and a self-starter who strives daily both professionally and personally to be the change she aims to see. It's been said that Debra Johnson has a way of making each person she meets feel individually special.
