Soni Martin


Sondra (Soni) Martin, M.F.A., Professor of Visual Arts, received her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Professor Martin's expertise is studio arts (sculpture, printmaking and painting) and contemporary theory. She has received extensive commissions, grants and awards. Her work is in many private and corporate collections and has been exhibited in museums, galleries, national and international exhibitions. As a practicing and exhibiting artist, her expertise includes coordinating the Casting of 500 Hands Across North Carolina for North Carolina Veteran's Park. Examples of exhibitions include Cameron Museum of Art, Fayetteville Museum of Art, Wellington Gray Gallery, Annual Exhibitions of Printmakers of North Carolina, and the Bunkyo Civic Center Art Salon in Japan.
