Board Of Trustees Approve Demolition Of Vance, Bryant Halls

Date: April 09, 2021

Fayetteville State University (FSU) Chancellor Darrell Allison and the Board of Trustees are working feverishly to continue to make the institution one of which all students, faculty, staff, and alumni can be proud. Their most recent actions proved that.

During the April 8, 2021 Special Called Meeting of the FSU Board of Trustees, the following actions occurred:

  • The Board approved the design services for the demolition of Bryant and Vance Halls. Demolition on both buildings will occur within the coming months.
  • The Chancellor's Administrative Cabinet recommended the move of the Health and Wellness Center from its proposed location at the corner of Murchison Road and Filter Plant Drive to the FSU campus. The recommendation ties to Strategic Plan Priorities 2 and 3 - Student and Campus Engagement, and Employee Vitality, respectively.

Through these and other projects, FSU is working towards increasing its partnerships with the City of Fayetteville as it looks to enhance both the Murchison Road corridor and the quality of life of citizens in this area.
