Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

1.) What is the B.O.O.S.T. Saturday Experience? The B.O.O.S.T. Saturday Experience will take place one Saturday of each month and is focused on FREE activities surrounding self-advocacy, empowerment, and positive self-esteem. This is also a culminating experience that will lead into the B.O.O.S.T. Summer Camp during June 11 - June 29, 2018 at Fayetteville State University.

The Saturday Experience dates are as follows:

The location & time of the Saturday Experiences will take place in the Helen T. Chick Building from 9 AM - 12 PM in room 133 (first floor).

2.) What is the B.O.O.S.T. Summer Camp? The B.O.O.S.T. Summer Camp is a FREE three-week program for middle and high school students and is designed to give students an extra boost in identifying their strengths and making the transition to high school and college. B.O.O.S.T. is an acronym for Bringing Out Our Students' Talents. The program is sponsored by Fayetteville State's Bronco STAR program, which supports FSU students with Executive Functioning Challenges (EFC), Attention-Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). These challenges may cause difficulties in starting projects, planning, organization, and decision-making. These types of learning challenges can have long-term implications for academic and personal success. The camp will take place from June 11-June 29, 2018. 

3.) How much is the B.O.O.S.T. Saturday Experience and/or Camp? Free of charge. 

4.) What are the qualifications for my son/daughter to participate? The student must be between 6th-12th grade and have ADD/ADHD or a learning difference and must complete all of the required documents below by a parent or guardian. 

5.) How can I register for the B.O.O.S.T. Saturday Experience or B.O.O.S.T. Summer Camp? Please click on the links below to complete all required documentation per student. Chick Room 202, or by mail at FSU Bronco STAR 1200 Murchison Road Fayetteville, NC 28301.

6.) Is lunch provided? Yes, a free lunch will be provided for the Saturday Experience. Free Breakfast and lunch are provided for the summer camp. 

7.) What should my son/daughter bring? A great attitude and a positive mindset to learn and grow.

9.) When is the paperwork due? For the B.O.O.S.T Saturday Experience, all paperwork is due (1) day prior to the respective Saturday Experience. For the B.O.O.S.T. Summer Camp, all paperwork should be submitted no later than Friday, May 18, 2018.
