BroncoConnect for Faculty - Tracking Academic Support

BroncoConnect allows instructors and advisors to see for themselves whether students have taken advantage of the academic support resources available to them.  For instructors, this information can be helpful if they have assigned students to attend academic support.  For advisors, it is useful if attending academic support is part of a success plan for students on probation or reinstated from suspension.

Instructors and advisors can filter their students by whether or not the students have academic support meetings. To do so,

  1. Log in to Canvas and click account, click profile, then click on the link to BroncoConnect.
  2. Click on the Students tab, then the My Students tab below that.
  3. Select the Connection and Term you want (e.g., Instructor and Fall 2015).
  4. Under Additional Filters, click Add Filters.
  5. Click Meetings, then Students.
  6. Select an Appointment Type or Types.  Each academic support service has appointment types specific to that service.  Select all the appointment types under a service to be sure you get all the meetings.
  7. Select Start and End Dates.
  8. Click Submit.

This will give you a list of your students who have visited the service. For more information about individual students,

  1. Click on a student to open his/her student folder.
  2. Click on the Meetings tab to see all meetings.

If there is a plus sign next to the meeting, you can click it to expand and see any notes.

Easy access to students' record of academic support is another tool BroncoConnect provides to help build a success network for each student.
