Ms. Aisha Bowe Stemboard

Ms. Aisha Bowe Stemboard - Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Aisha co-founded STEMBoard in 2013, having spent several years as a researcher at the NASA Ames Research Center. Aisha has conceived and implemented programs aimed at encouraging students to pursue careers in science and technology, which included a stint as NASA's liaison to the board of the San Jose State University Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement program. Aisha holds a B.S.E. in aerospace engineering and an M. Eng. in space systems engineering, both from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Mitch Colvin - City Councilman

Mr. Mitch Colvin - City Councilman

Mitch Colvin was elected the District 3 representative to the Fayetteville City Council in November 2013. He is a graduate of E.E. Smith Senior High School; John Tyler Mortuary College, with an A.A. in Funeral Service; and Fayetteville State University, with a B.A. Degree in Sociology.

In 1995, at the age of 21, Mr. Colvin assumed the operational leadership of Colvin Funeral Home, Inc. At the time he assumed control, the company was experiencing significant financial and regulatory distress. Mr. Colvin learned at an early age that being in business is not easy. Over the last 20 years, he has worked to build a strong, community oriented business, restore goodwill and address remaining legacy issues. Today, his company is a market leader in funeral home service calls. Mr. Colvin believes that hard work and commitment in the face of adversity is crucial to survival in business and life.

Mr. Colvin's City Council priorities include job creation; economic development; education and training; and the creation of a safe and secure community for all to enjoy. He is married to Daisha S. Colvin and together they have three beautiful daughters: Porscha, Ashley and Mya. The Colvins are members of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and active in many other civic and social organizations.

Dr. Jason DeSousa

Dr. Jason DeSousa - Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Retention, Fayetteville State University

Dr. Jason DeSousa serves as Fayetteville State University's Assistant Vice Chancellor of Student Retention. A graduate of Morgan State University (MSU) , where he earned the B.S. degree, DeSousa returned to his alma mater, serving in various capacities such as assistant vice president for academic affairs & university registrar, assistant vice president for student affairs-enrollment management, associate professor of higher education, and director of the Institute for Student Leadership, Character Development and Outcomes.

To date, he has been awarded nearly two million dollars in external grants for student retention, persistence, leadership, and diversity projects, including grants for the establishment of male-oriented student success projects. He earned the Master of Arts in higher education and student affairs from Bowling Green State University and the Doctor of Education in higher education administration from Indiana University Bloomington, where he was a Ford Foundation Fellow.

Mr. Michael Head

Mr. Michael Head - Associate Director of Admissions

Michael Head is a proud graduate of Fayetteville State University, "Class of 2000", where he earned his B.A. in Political Science.  He has Served as an Advisor to several campus organizations throughout his time at FSU, where he has worked at since 2000.  He has also served as a Mentor to several former students. 

As an "Army Brat", Mr. Head was born in Germany and has lived in several different states throughout his life.  After Graduating High School in Texas,  Mr. Head arrived in North Carolina as a member of the Military, and has since, made NC his home.  He is the Father of two daughters.

Mr. Head currently serves as the Associate Director of Admissions at FSU, after working his way up through the ranks, beginning as an Admission Counselor.  His passion is driving students to obtain their education in order to become productive citizens.


Rev. Dr. Jamale Johnson

Rev. Dr. Jamale Johnson - Pastor, Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church

Pastor A. Jamale Johnson is a native of Fayetteville, NC, and he is the son of Pastor Emeritus Aaron J. Johnson and Mattie Johnson. He attended public school in the city of Fayetteville, and he is a proud 1989 graduate of E.E Smith Senior High School, which according to Pastor Johnson is the "best" high school in the world. His spiritual foundation was formed at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his father. As a youth in Mt. Sinai, Pastor Johnson was active in youth ministry, the youth choir, and Sunday school.

Upon graduating from E. E. Smith, Pastor Johnson attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned two economic degrees; a Bachelor of Science in 1993, and a Master of Science in 1995. While Pastor Johnson's plan was to pursue a career in Urban and Regional Planning, God called him to preach the Gospel in December, 1994.

Mr. John Martellaro Stemboard

Mr. John Martellaro Stemboard - Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer

John co-founded STEMBoard in 2013, where he leads technology development and manages the company's operations. Prior to this, he was co-founder and chief technology officer at APX Labs, a leader in augmented reality software and mobile solutions. John brings vast experience in working with the U.S military, government and private sectors. John is a recipient of the ESGR Patriot Award for his compassion and support of the guard and their families. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mr. Tremain McAdoo

Mr. Tremain McAdoo - Wells Fargo Bank

As a proud FSU alumnus, Mr. Tremain McAdoo is a Wells Fargo Bank Manager in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  He uses strong prospecting and presentation skills to acquire, retain, and expand new/existing client relationships, along with meeting with clients to ascertain key financial needs and provide product recommendations.

Mr. McAdoo is a skilled professional at negotiating, developing and executing business initiatives that drive customer growth and deliver on operational objectives.

As an adjunct professor, he understands the importance of teaching and having an education.

Ms. Judy Musgrave

Ms. Judy Musgrave-Cumberland County School Board Member

Ms. Musgrave, a newly elected Cumberland County School Board Member, taught mathematics and served as a Mathematics Curriculum Specialist for grades 6-12. She also worked with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and is a former adjunct professor in the Elementary Education Department at FSU.


Mr. Willie Snow

Mr. Willie Snow - Snow Bernier Properties LLC

As a realtor, Mr. Willie Snow's knowledge of the market spans from Fayetteville to the surrounding areas. His commitment to finding homes for families comes from his knowledge of the area and its changing value. After serving 20 years in the military, Mr. Snow settled in Fayetteville with his wife Brenda and their three children: Eric, Kevin, and Natasha. He began his real estate career in 1991 with Homeowners LTD.

Mr. Snow has served on numerous committees with the Board of Realtors and in 2002, was chosen Realtor of the Year. He is currentlly on the Board of Directors. In addition, he teaches the Practical Applications, Course for Agents just coming into the industry and does Ninja Coaching, a course that helps develop a Referral System on how to increase your income per hour, while having a life outside of real estate. Mr. Snow served as President of the Parent Teacher Association and also coached football for the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Center.

Mr. Michael Tucker

Mr. Michael Tucker - Principal, Cliffdale Elementary School

Michael Tucker is a proud graduate of Fayetteville State University, where he earned his B.A. in History and a Master's of School Administration degree. He earned a Master's in American History from Temple University.  He has been a Cumberland County Schools' educator for more than 15 years, including seven as a school administrator. 

Mr. Tucker currently serves as Principal of Cliffdale Elementary School.  He was recently nominated for the Principal of the Year Award for Cumberland County Schools. He is a member of several professional educational organizations, and is passionate about improving high school graduation rates.  Mr. Tucker is a loving husband and the father of two daughters.

Ms. Yvonne Walker

Ms. Yvonne Walker - An Early Childhood Educational Executive

An Early Childhood Educational Executive, Ms. Walker has worked in several venues to include municipal government, private non-profit and higher education.  She's traveled the nation as a 'turn-around' specialist of Head Start programs; and served on President Bill Clinton's AmeriCorp Planning Committee determining how best volunteers could assist Head Start programs. Upon request, she addressed a Congressional Committee on Head Start's strengths and weaknesses; and served at the request of Marian Wright Edelman, CEO of the Children's Defense Fund, in a campaign aimed at influencing the public's trust relative to publicly funded child development programming; and is featured in the organization's promotional video "Head Start Now!" Ms. Walker is recognized for conducting capital campaigns to build a state-of-the-art facility, and to renovate several others. She has designed and received funding for several innovative programs to include equestrian therapy, and summer camps that focused on science and math. She is the recipient of several awards for community collaborations; and is currently designing a construct for an academy for young boys of color to include professional development rubrics, a lecture series, and a method of sustainability.

Mr. Jeff Womble
