Rudolph Jones Student Center project was 69,000 square feet renovation and 40,000 square feet addition. The Student Center serves as the heart of the campus and enhances the overall student life and experience of Fayetteville State University. The building was built to meet sustainability goal of a LEED Silver certification.
This beautiful facility offers many amenities: social and study lounges, meeting and study rooms, entertainment with arcade / game room, movie theater, ballroom with multi-purpose hall with partitions for flexibility, food services with dining hall, food court (branded food outlets), cyber café / coffee shop / grab-and-go, office suites, services such as post office, banking services, etc.
The building was built with regionally appropriate amount of insulation in the walls and roof and high-performance glazing windows which minimize unwanted heat gain or loss to keep it properly weatherized. The studies have repeatedly shown that efficient buildings and appropriate use of lands offer opportunities to save money while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
