Since 2007 Fayetteville State University has offered a degree to meet the needs of tomorrow's professionals in fire and emergency services.  Built around best practices, the Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Services Administration is designed to give students the administrative skills to advance through the ranks to chief officer positions. It will also prepare students to seek admission into the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program.

Students will complete coursework in several courses recognized by FESHE (Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education) as being the foundation to a standardized curriculum for fire students.  Areas of study include: fire prevention, organization and management, fire investigation, fire service ethics, political and legal foundation of fire protection, fire administration, personnel management, and community risk reduction as well as research methods.

Our graduates are not only prepared for the rigorous demands of the NFA's Executive Fire Officer Program, but are also competitive candidates for graduate study.  Many of our graduates have gone on to complete masters programs in public administration and other related disciplines.

We look forward to assisting with your career advancement and welcome you to the program.
