Housing for Summer Institute for International Students 2014 & Participation Costs

Participant Costs

Participant costs for Summer Institute for International Students 2014 will include housing, transportation to various locations including Washington D.C., instruction, and meals while in Fayetteville. During travel to campuses and Washington D.C. meals will be on your own.

Each student participant is expected to show proof of medical insurance coverage in U.S. at least 15 days prior to travel. Failure to do so will result in extra cost for the participant.

For the 2014 Summer Institute for International Students total fees are $2,250 per participant.

Summer Institute International Students will be housed at New Residence Hall on the main campus of Fayetteville State University.

New Residence Hall

New Residence HallNew Residence Hall is a three story dormitory located on the east side of our campus with the special feature of an enclosed outside courtyard filled with picnic tables covered by large umbrellas in which residents can enjoy comfortably during the day and even safely at night due to tall lamp posts that keep the area well lit after dark. New Residence hall can accomodate up to 186 residents in suite style living arrangements. Each suite contains four double occupancy bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a living room and mini kitchen/dining area. Each suite in New Residence Hall has its own unique personality and charisma.

The lobby of New Residence Lobby is oversized with space to dine, study, surf the internet, watch television and enjoy the view of its spacious courtyard and enclosed residence hall area. This hall also hosts a full fitness center with several modern new fitness machines, workout equipment, and student staff on duty who are trained to help residents meet their fitness and health goals. New Residence Hall also has a large laundry facility with table and chair space for residents to lounge, study, play cards, and eat while clothes are getting washed and dryed.
