Network Services

Network Services is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Fayetteville State University (FSU) voice, data and video (television) networks, which includes the underground fiber and video cable plant, the fiber and wiring plant for the data and video network in each building; routers, switches, hubs, VoIP telephony, and various other network components. To include remote locations such as Bronco Square Plaza, Fort Bragg, SJAFB (Seymour Johnson Air Force Base), UPA (University Place Apartments), and Chancellor's Residence. Network Services is also responsible for the design, implementation, and management of voice, data and video (television) networks in new construction as well as renovations to existing facilities. In addition, Network Services manages various security devices such as firewalls, VPN, NAC (Network Access Control), Content Filtering, and IPS devices (Intrusion Prevention Systems).
