Network Infrastructure

Network Services is responsible for the planning, installation, operation, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the University communications infrastructure. In addition, Network Services provides data, voice, and video (television), cable and switch installations. To request these services, please complete the Installation Services Request form and you will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule an on-site appointment. Telecom Contractors

All contractors installing fiber optic and/or voice or data cabling on Fayetteville State University's main or remote campuses must follow the cabling guidelines outlined in the Fayetteville State University Telecommunications Design Standards & Guidelines. Use of this standard and codes referenced within this document, is intended to increase the value of the system owner's investment in the infrastructure by reducing the labor expense of maintaining the system, by extending the useful economic life of the system, and by providing effective service to users. Adherence will also ensure Fayetteville State University is in compliance with national and State of North Carolina legal and regulatory standards, and is capable of supporting Fayetteville State University's mission and vision for growth.
