Summer School

FSU HomeSummerschoolMaymester

Beginning in 2018, we will not have Intersession during Summer School.  Instead, we will have a ten day mini-mester that begins the Monday after graduation.  It will be the final portion of the Spring term and it will be called MAYMESTER.

Maymester will offer a range of courses, but will be particularly focused on Core Curriculum courses.  If you are a full-time student during the Spring semester, you can take up to 3 credits (face-to-face) during Maymester without additional tuition/fees/textbook cost.  That's a savings of up to $579.62 over an Intersession course last year.

Maymester courses are uniquely intended to

  • provide an intensive, compressed learning experience that is engaging, compelling, creative and rigorous;
  • engage faculty and students in significant and relevant learning; and
  • enable students to make progress toward degree requirements without incurring additional expense for tuition and fees.

You can register for Maymester classes during Spring registration in November or add the class throughout the spring as long as seats remain.

Interested in on-campus housing and meal plans?  Room Rate: $250.00 * All students are required to be registered for classes and have a meal plan to stay on campus.  Housing assignments will not change; students will remain in their Spring 2018 rooms during Maymester.  For your planning purposes, Meal Plan $355.00.

Classes for Maymester will be offered according to the following standardized schedule:

8:00 - 9:20 (1 credit)

9:30-12:00 (2 credit)

12:10-1:30 (1 credit)
