Course:  CPM 220 Energy Management Principles
When: Fall Semester 8 Weeks
Who: Professionals in the construction and renovation industry, facility managers, building operators, maintenance staff, and anyone interested in reducing energy costs and advancing their career.

EEP Quick facts:

Average Salary: $55K–$70K/year (Experienced professionals earn $70K–$90K+)

What Does an Energy Efficiency Practitioner (EEP) Do?

 

Energy Efficiency Practitioners (EEPs) are entry-level professionals who help improve energy performance in commercial, government, institutional, and industrial facilities. They support efforts to reduce energy consumption, improve building operations, and promote sustainable practices.

The EEP certification is ideal for:

  • Individuals interested in starting a career in the energy industry.
  • Current professionals looking to transition into the energy sector.
  • Professionals working in commercial, government, institutional, or industrial facilities.

 

Training Opportunity

Individuals in the following skilled trades are eligible for  6–8 week training offered in partnership with Fayetteville Technical Community College:

  • HVAC
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Solar

 

Become EEP Certified

To qualify for the Energy Efficiency Practitioner (EEP) certification, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Hold a 2-year technical degree or 4-year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Be currently employed in energy efficiency, energy management, or building/facility operations and maintenance.
  • Have at least one year of experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or building/facility operations and maintenance.
  • Be actively enrolled in an energy, sustainability, operations, or maintenance education program.
  • Be a U.S. military veteran.
