As the University continues to track the weather conditions, Condition 1 (Reduced operations) will be extended until 12:00 midnight. The Fayetteville area is expected to experience weather that will include scattered thunderstorms, high winds, possible hail, throughout the day. The University will resume normal operations at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17th. During this time, all student activities have been cancelled, all classes will remain online, and the Charles Chesnutt library will remain open.  Additionally, the Early Childhood Learning Center is closed today, March 16.

Dr. Ernest M. Barnett

Adjunct Associate Professor

Dr. Ernest Barnett is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Elementary Education in the College of Education at Fayetteville State University. He received a doctoral degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Dakota in 1996. His Master's degree in Education at the University of Nebraska in Kearney and his bachelor's degree in education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Dr. Barnett has delivered instruction in curriculum at the Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral levels.  He has several years of k-12 classroom experience and evidence of expertise in preparing teachers in higher education.
