Contracts & Grants

The Contracts and Grants Department, a unit within the Division of Finance and Administration, provides comprehensive post-award financial and administrative support for externally funded sponsored projects at Fayetteville State University.

Our office partners with Principal Investigators (PIs), project directors, departments, and sponsoring agencies to ensure sponsored funds are managed responsibly and in compliance with university policies, federal and state regulations, sponsor requirements, and the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200). We are committed to promoting sound financial stewardship while supporting the successful administration of sponsored projects throughout the life of each award.

Our Services

• Provide comprehensive post-award administration, including award setup, financial management, budget monitoring, award modifications, financial reporting, and award closeout.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, sponsor requirements, federal and state regulations, and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) through financial oversight, internal controls, and audit support.
• Support Principal Investigators (PIs) and departments by providing financial guidance, post-award training, policy interpretation, and assistance throughout the life cycle of sponsored projects.
