Lactation Station for Students, Employees, and Visitors

The Lactation Station is a space designed with care, comfort, and your well-being in mind.

Fayetteville State University recognizes the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for parents and their infants, and in promoting a family-friendly work and study environment. The university strives to create an environment that is attuned to both professional and personal needs, such as the need of a parent who is lactating to feed and/or to express milk for their baby while at work. These guidelines were created to ensure full compliance with the provisions of federal and state laws intended for breastfeeding individuals.

Fayetteville State University is committed to offering a clean, private, and dedicated lactation room, distinct from restroom facilities, to support nursing mothers. This space is designed to ensure comfort and privacy, allowing for a safe environment to facilitate breastfeeding or pumping. The university recognizes the importance of supporting the needs of mothers and is dedicated to providing the necessary resources to promote a healthy and accommodating atmosphere.
