Welcome to Fayetteville State University! We are excited to have you begin your collegiate academic journey here at FSU as we STRIDE forward together.
In an effort to assist you as you begin your journey at Fayetteville State University, we have designed Welcome Week to equip you with important information that will help you be successful and graduate. Therefore, it is with this vision that the theme of Welcome Week is “S.T.R.I.D.E.: The Bronco Way!” STRIDE stands for: Students Taking Responsibility In Developing Excellence. STRIDE is a fun-filled, information-packed week that prepares you for success at Fayetteville State University.
Throughout the week you will have opportunities to meet classmates, faculty, staff, and advisors and engage in seminars and social events.
Anchored in true Bronco traditions, Welcome Week is full of activities and fun to ensure you feel prepared to grow academically, professionally, and socially. At FSU, you can be yourself and STRIDE towards success as you expand your talents, increase your knowledge, and transform your life.
The goals of Fayetteville State University Welcome Week are to:
- Ensure that you accomplish all necessary tasks required to become officially enrolled at Fayetteville State University.
- Provide an understanding of Fayetteville State University's traditions and legacy and your place therein.
- Help you transition effectively to college life academically, personally, professionally, and socially.
- Help you understand the University processes, procedures, and policies that will govern your life as a student here at FSU.
- Provide learning pathways to career readiness.
During your matriculation here at FSU, we encourage you to stay focused academically as well be involved in campus life and the community. Most importantly, you will learn quickly that FSU provides a quality education that will make you proud to be a Bronco today, at graduation, and forevermore as alumni!
