Bronco STAR
What is Bronco STAR?
Bronco STAR is an academic support program at Fayetteville State that works toward increasing access and decreasing barriers to a college degree for students who learn differently. We do not require a diagnosis, students with Executive Functioning challenges, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other learning differences will receive FREE on-campus resources.
Bronco STAR participants will have access to a package of various services:
- ADD/ADHD
- Study Skills/Time Management
- Academic Success Coaching
- Interactive Workshops
- FREE Academic Tutoring/Study Space
- Assistive Technology
How to Apply
Students in the Bronco STAR program must be admitted to FSU through the regular admissions process. Once you are an enrolled Bronco, you can complete this Application and you will receive additional resources from the Bronco STAR Coordinator.
Program Requirements
- Must be an ENROLLED FSU Student
- Must Attend 1-2 Eight-Week Check-In Sessions with Learning Specialist
- Must attend 1 Bronco STAR Workshop Each Semester
ACCESS Workshop
Accessing Campus Connections and Empowering Student Success (ACCESS) is an evidence- based program exploring cognitive-behavioral principles designed to give college students diagnosed with or displaying features of ADD/ADHD, the knowledge and skills necessary for academic, personal, and social success. ACCESS will be delivered to students during in-person and virtual group meeting format for one 90-mintue meeting per week across 8 consecutive weeks each Fall semester!
