Data Management and Assessment Center

Here at the College of Education, we are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Our commitment extends beyond traditional methods of education; we strive to leverage data and assessments to enhance the learning experience and drive continuous improvement. In today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, data-driven decision-making is paramount. Our Data and Assessment team plays a pivotal role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform instructional practices, curriculum development, and policy decisions. By harnessing the power of data, we empower educators to tailor their approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners effectively. This office is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data associated with measurable outcomes and guided by the mission and goals of the University and the College. We strive to provide the information and expertise necessary for effective planning and decision-making. In addition, the office also provides services and resources connected with instructional technology, teacher accountability, Taskstream, and standardized tests.

The educator preparation programs at Fayetteville State University are accredited at the initial and advanced preparation level through spring 2027 by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Taskstream

What is Taskstream?

Taskstream is an online platform designed to facilitate electronic portfolio management, assessment coordination, and standards-aligned instruction. It empowers students to upload assignments from every core course within their program of study and submit them for evaluation. Additionally, faculty can utilize Taskstream to assess students' work, develop lesson plans aligned with standards, craft evaluation rubrics, and construct comprehensive instructional units.

Why do I have to use Taskstream?

Taskstream serves as a pivotal tool in assessing student outcomes for accreditation purposes. Its primary function lies in aiding students throughout their teaching education program by facilitating the collection, preservation, organization, evaluation, and dissemination of activities, assignments, evidence, and reflections tied to competencies and standards.
