Carly Mueller
Assistant Director of Aquatic

cmueller2@uncfsu.edu
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, Carly has been connected to the water for as long as she can remember. A lifelong swimmer and former competitive athlete in both swimming and soccer, she developed a deep appreciation for the discipline, confidence, and joy that comes from team athletics.
Carly earned her bachelor’s degree in health and human services from the State University of New York at Buffalo. During high school, she became a certified lifeguard—an early step toward what would later become her true professional calling.
After living and traveling around the world—including time spent in Georgia, Sydney (Australia), and Washington State—Carly taught at both the middle and high school levels. While she valued her experience in traditional education, she soon realized her passion lay elsewhere: in teaching through movement, confidence-building, and safety in the water.
Today, Carly has found the perfect blend of her love for teaching and her lifelong connection to the aquatic world through aquatic education and safety. She is dedicated to helping students of all ages overcome fears, build confidence, and develop essential, life-saving skills both in and out of the water.
When she's not in the water, you can find Carly crafting, painting, gardening, hiking, and spending time with her children, Brennan and Keira, and cat Izzy.
