FSU to Host Livestream of Boeing Starliner Capsule Test in State-of-the-Art Planetarium; Additional Children’s Activities Planned

Fayetteville State University will join the rest of the world’s space enthusiasts by hosting a launch party for the OFT-2 Boeing Starliner capsule test on Thursday, May 19.

PlanetariumFAYETTEVILLE, N.C., (May 19, 2022) – Fayetteville State University will join the rest of the world’s space enthusiasts by hosting a launch party for the OFT-2 Boeing Starliner capsule test on Thursday, May 19.

A livestream of the event will be projected in the FSU Planetarium beginning at 6pm, EST. The launch is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:54 or within several minutes thereafter.

The event will also include rocket launches for children of all ages outside the planetarium, along with other space activities and science demonstrations.

The FSU Planetarium is a state-of-the-art facility with ten 4K projectors and a 6500-watt sound system for an amazing space experience. The planetarium has been selected as a NASA Informal Education Community Anchor site and is currently an official NASA partner. The site develops family programs focused on Rockets and Robots in space exploration.
