NOTE: Students requesting ADA/medical accommodations must still complete the housing process steps while awaiting approval (completing the online housing application, pay the $150 application fee, etc). Once approved, the student will be placed in an on-campus space based on the documentation submitted, space availability, and recommendations of the Center for Personal Development.
Current/Returning Student Housing Criteria & How To Apply
- Be admitted and enrolled as an FSU student taking 12 or more credit hours. 75 percent of credit hours must be in person.
- Online, Part-Time, and Graduate Students must obtain special permission from the Director of Residence Life or their designee
- Requests can be submitted to this form https://forms.office.com/r/trJ6yVhZwq
- Be in good financial standing with the university and the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
- Be free of any academic or disciplinary suspensions.
- Ensure your FAFSA is on file and your financial aid can cover your meal plan and housing costs.
- Complete the annual/yearly housing application and pay the annual/yearly $150 application fee in My Housing Portal.
- Complete University mandated training and programs, including: the Living in Community canvas course, alcohol and substance abuse, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, bullying, stalking, hazing, domestic violence as well as any other University required programs.
- Required training and programs must be completed prior to moving into a residence hall
- Complete vaccination/inoculation requirements.
- Requirements must be complete prior to moving into a residence hall
- Have their own health insurance and upload proof of coverage into the University sponsored Insurance plan website www.studentbluenc.com/fsu.
- This requirement is for any student residing in housing regardless of the registration status.
