About Phi Eta Sigma

Phi Eta Sigma was founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois and is dedicated to recognizing academic excellence among first-year college students. With more than 400 chapters nationwide and over 1.4 million members, it remains a symbol of academic distinction.

The Fayetteville State University Chapter of Phi Eta Sigma recognizes first-year students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and a commitment to leadership and service.

Membership

Membership in Phi Eta Sigma is a mark of high achievement and a lifelong distinction. Students are invited to join based on academic excellence during their first year of college.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Enrolled full-time at Fayetteville State University.
  • Earned cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during the first academic term.
  • Exhibit integrity, initiative, and engagement in their academic community.

How to Join: Receive invitation, complete application, pay dues, attend induction.
