Stay alert when walking on campus, especially at night.
Report Suspicious Activity
Call University Police immediately if you see unusual behavior or unattended packages.
Use Well-Lit Paths
Stick to main walkways and avoid dark or isolated areas.
Lock Your Doors and Windows
Secure your residence hall, office, and vehicle at all times.
Protect Your Belongings
Do not leave laptops, phones, or other valuables unattended.
Travel in Groups
When possible, walk with friends, especially after dark.

Save the University Police Emergency number in your phone: 911 or (910) 672-1911.
Stay Informed
Sign up for FSU Alert notifications through Rave Guardian for timely updates about campus safety.
Trust Your Instincts
If something feels wrong, it probably is. Report it.
Document
Photograph and record your serial numbers of valuables.

Fayetteville State University has enhanced its public safety guidelines to include the type of bag you can bring into campus events.
This will help expedite entry at games and events. All carried items are subject to search, including clear bags.
APPROVED BAGS
- Clear Bag
- 1 Gallon Plastic Storage Bag
- Small Clutch or Wallet
- No bags larger than 12" x 6".
- Diaper Bags MUST be accompanied by child.
NON-APPROVED BAGS
- Backpack
- Binoculars Case
- Camera Case
- Clear Backpack
