Password Reset

Overview

As part of enrolling or onboarding, users are required to register their accounts in the password portal and establish a profile by answering a set of security questions. Once completed, you can manage and reset your own password. 

Password Reset Self-Service

Access the self-service reset portal to manage and reset your password. If you have NOT registered to use the self-service password portal, submit a ticket to the Help Desk for assistance.

Password Standards

Requirements

• Passwords must be at least fifteen (15) characters in length.
• Passwords must contain at least three (3) of these four types of characters:
  • Upper-case alpha characters [A-Z]
  • Lower-case alpha characters [a-z]
  • Numeric characters [0-9]
  • Special characters [! @#$%^&*()_+|~-=\`{}[]:";'<>?,./ ]
• Passwords must be changed every 90 days.

Default Student Passwords Format

Your default student password begins with FSU followed by:

• First initial first name (lower case)
• First initial last name (upper case)
• Your birth date in the format mmddyyyy
• and finally and exclamation point ! and a dollar sign $
