Jazz Singer, Songwriter and Cellist Shana Tucker to Headline Smooth Jazz II Concert on February 18, at Fayetteville State University’s Seabrook Auditorium

Jazz Singer, Songwriter and Cellist Shana Tucker will headline Fayetteville State University's (FSU) Smooth Jazz Flow II concert, featuring Fayetteville renowned jazz saxophonist, Reggie Codrington on Feb. 18, 6 p.m. at the J.W. Seabrook Auditorium.

Tucker delivers a unique voice to her self-described genre of ChamberSoul. With a deep respect for the art of storytelling, Tucker's lyrical melodies evoke strong hints of jazz, soulful folk and acoustic pop, woven into a unique rhythmic tapestry. Tucker's debut CD, "SHiNE" was released in 2015.Codrington, renowned for his sounds in the smooth, urban and gospel jazz genres, is a local jazz legend. With the success of his album titled "Always In Motion," and countless performances that have earned him thousands of devoted fans, Codrington is one of the most popular saxophonists on the scene today.The Seabrook Performance Series is a FSU initiative designed to educate, stimulate and enrich the Fayetteville community with quality diverse cultural and entertainment events by famed local, regional and national artists.Tickets cost $20 for the general public.
