Local Gamers to Converge at FSU for Esports NBA2K22 Tournament

Fayetteville State University will host an esports tournament, Saturday, April 9, on its campus beginning at 11 a.m. Participants will compete in NBA2K22 for various cash prizes as well as gaming headsets.

  • Esports NBA2K22 tournament
  • Cash prizes and gaming headsets will be given to 1st and 2nd place winners for each bracket (PS4 and Xbox)

  • Saturday, April 9, 2022
  • Registration begins at 10 a.m. Gaming begins at 11 a.m.

WHERE

  • Esports Lab, Rosenthal Building, room 204 on the FSU campus

WHY

  • Esports and competitive video gaming has become a global phenomenon with millions of participants and even greater interest and participation specifically on college and university campuses. Esports programs have been shown to improve campus experiences and boost overall student recruitment and retention.
