Dr. Tomilowo Abijo

Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences

Dr. Abijo received the degrees of Ph.D. in Biology (Molecular Biology and Genetics) from Howard University in 2018 and an MS in Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Neuropsychopharmacology laboratory at Howard university before joining the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIH) as a contract Biostatistician. He joined Fayetteville State University as an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences in 2023. His research in biology focuses on understanding the genetic, social and epidemiological basis of addiction. He has published several peer-reviewed articles.
