Dr. Willietta Gibson

Assistant Professor

Dr. Gibson received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina and a B.S. degree in Molecular Biology from Winston-Salem State University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise (BRITE) at North Carolina Central University where she examined the sensitivity of inflammatory breast cancer cells to inhibitors of the sonic hedgehog signaling pathway. Dr. Gibson has taught at Hampton University and Bennett College before coming to Fayetteville State University in August 2022.
