FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University earned national recognition Tuesday in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, highlighting the strength of its online graduate business education.

The university’s online MBA program ranked in the top 24% nationally, placing No. 90 out of 377 programs. Fayetteville State also climbed to No. 68 in the Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans, advancing four spots from last year.

At the state level, FSU placed sixth in North Carolina among institutions with ranked online MBA programs, which continues to reinforce Broadwell’s position as one of the state’s leading providers of online graduate business education.

“At the Broadwell College of Business and Economics, we prepare leaders who drive impact at the highest levels of business and society,” said Ulysses Taylor, dean and professor at BCBE. “Our online MBA programs are designed for executives and professionals who demand excellence, balancing rigorous academics, real-world application, and unwavering support. This national recognition affirms our commitment to developing strategic thinkers and decision-makers who are equipped to shape industries, strengthen communities, and lead with purpose.”

U.S. News evaluates online MBA programs using multiple indicators, including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology infrastructure, and peer assessment scores from business school leaders. These criteria ensure that rankings reflect both academic rigor and the quality of the student experience.

The veterans ranking aligns with the university’s ongoing leadership in serving military-affiliated students. In fall 2025, FSU enrolled more than 2,500 military-connected students, demonstrating strong demand for flexible academic options and career-focused graduate programs offered through Broadwell’s online model.

The U.S. News recognition is just one of several honors BCBE has received during the 2025-26 academic year. These accolades collectively highlight the college’s expanding reputation and ongoing success.

Taken together, these honors reflect a year of national visibility for the Broadwell College of Business and Economics across graduate business education, veteran-serving excellence and institutional quality.
