North Carolina Consortium for International and Intercultural Education Model United Nations (NCCIIE MUN) 33rd Virtual Conference
The North Carolina Consortium for International and Intercultural Education Model United Nations (NCCIIE MUN) 33rd Virtual Conference hosted by Fayetteville State University convened its second virtual annual Conference. Chancellor Darrell T. Allison joined us in supporting the program. Also, City of Fayetteville Mayor Mitch Colvin, welcomed the participating HBCUs and platform guests to the city. A special shout out to the Sociology Department for their continued support as well as formal MUN delegates!
Faculty advisor and Librarian Diana Amerson, continues to be a vital asset to the Model UN delegates in preparing students for a winning debate. She was selected as Scholarship Coordinator in 2016 for all the member institutions of the NCCIIE Model UN organization. The DACOR Bacon House Foundation, Metro Scholarship recipient renewed the offer of the Metro scholarship award of $6,000. Ms. Wendy Melvin, a Sociology major was the recipient of the DACOR Bacon Metro Scholarship for the Academic Year 2022-2023.
FSU swept the competition again, taking home the most awards by a single university. FSU was awarded the overall outstanding delegate and overall outstanding delegation, the competition’s two highest honors.
