Second Year Experience

About 2YE

2nd Year Experience (2YE) is a program designed to support sophomores as they progress through their second year of college. In their second year of college, students may experience disconnection from school due to a decrease in support and engagement that they received during their first year of college.

Through 2YE students develop strategies for achieving success during their second year at FSU. They receive support in identifying career pathways, selecting and declaring their major, developing leadership skills, and cultivating a sense of belongingness.

Mission

The 2nd Year Experience is a collaboration between Academic and Student Affairs aimed to advance the retention, progression, and development of students through their second year of college at Fayetteville State University via academic and career opportunities, student involvement, and campus programs.
