Doris Jefferys/Adjunct Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor

Dr. Doris Jefferys received her BSN from Medical University of South Carolina. In addition, she earned a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from Duke University and a Post Master Certificate from East Carolina University with Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Most recently she completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with Loyola University. Her area of expertise is in Primary Care and has extensive experience as an educator and clinician.

Research Interest

Dr. Jeffery's esearch interest include improving student outcomes on NCLEX exam and facilitating retention of minority students in programs of nursing.  As a Nurse Practitioner she is also interested in Chronic Disease management.
