It’s Homecoming Week!
Join us through Sunday, October 27.
Welcome to the Fayetteville State University School of Nursing. Our journey to achieving nursing excellence began in 1992 through a partnership program with UNCP. Our vibrant programs have thrived throughout our history to meet the needs of students in this region and beyond. We continue to educate many nurse leaders who play a significant role in the health maintenance of citizens in North Carolina and the rest of the country. We look forward to serving you in the attainment of your educational goals.
Thank you for visiting us and welcome!

The School of Nursing Mission
Consistent with the mission of the university, the mission of the School of Nursing at Fayetteville State University is to educate culturally competent, ethical, and caring nurses for a global society. Nursing is a discipline that builds on knowledge from nursing theory; the natural, social, and applied sciences; and the humanities. The School of Nursing is committed to educating graduates who will provide evidence-based and patient-centered care. The faculty value the systematic and purposeful application of the nursing process to promote the optimal health of clients throughout the life cycle and in a variety of settings. The School of Nursing strives to produce graduates who appreciate lifelong learning and are contributing members to the profession of nursing, the community, and society.
You will learn from professors who are passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced. They are invested in your future and developing highly motivated and professional nurses.
Clinical experience gives you a firsthand perspective of the life of a nurse. It often involves treatment of patients and the observation of the nurse/patient relationship. You will gain an understanding of the realities of nursing and become more service minded.
