Miss Fayetteville State University Alumni 2018-2019 Contestant

Amanda Eure Contestant(VOTE) Ms. Amanda Eure is a native of Gates County, North Carolina home to "Merchants Millpond State Park." In 2016, Amanda earned a master's degree in business administration from our illustrious institution Fayetteville State University (FSU). Currently, she is an Operations Research Analyst for Department of the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. 

As a graduate student at FSU, she was named one of 75 students from 62 historically black colleges and universities as an HBCU All-Star in 2014. This appointment gave her the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for White House Initiative for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for one year.

In a Facebook "Likes" contest, she was selected as a finalist to compete in the Nationwide Tuition Challenge for an opportunity to win a $5000 scholarship at CIAA 2016 Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, NC during the men's semifinals.  

Lastly, she studied abroad in Bridgetown, Barbados for the summer in 2016 to learn more about global healthcare delivery systems.  Mornin' Barbados, a daily breakfast program on CBC-TV 8, featured Amanda, FSU faculty members Drs. J. Lee Brown and Jennifer Bushelle-Edghill, and undergraduate student Zoe Howard in a panel discussion about our research and experience in Barbados.

Amanda is an active general member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and life member of FSU National Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys attending sporting events (e.g. football, basketball, and bowling) to show her support for FSU.
