Cyber Security Management (Graduate Certificate)

The Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security Management is designed for business and military professionals, who work or plan on working in cyber security organization. The graduate certificate is aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) framework, that provides a "prioritized, flexible, repeatable, performance-based, and cost-effective approach" to manage cybersecurity risk for those processes, information, and systems directly involved in the delivery of critical infrastructure services.

Course Delivery

Our cyber security courses are delivered entirely online to ensure maximum flexibility for busy working professionals. Students may participate in lectures remotely via Teams on desktop, laptop or mobile devices. Students also have the option of watching recordings of the lectures at their own pace. Assignments are completed on Canvas, a cloud-based Learning Management System.

Classes

Students take four courses in cyber security based on the NIST Cyber Security Framework to earn the graduate certificate:

• CSM 601 Cyber Security Plans
• CSM 602 Intrusion Detection and Prevention
• CSM 603 Cyber Incident Analysis and Response
• CSM 604 Best Practices and Emerging Trends

These courses can also be credited towards the Cyber Security Management specialization (concentration) in the MBA program.
