Summer Space Camp
2025 Summer Space Camp
The 2025 Summer Space Camp ran June 2-6. Students learned about the history and future of space exploration and potential careers in the aerospace industry. Above students are showing off the rockets they built and launched. This was our fourth Space Camp held at FSU.
Below, Weston is showing the sensor package he built. This package measures acceleration, gyroscope and altitude values. Students "flew" their sensor in the elevator to see changes in altitude.
Funds from the Cumberland Community Foundation provided scholarships for about one-third of the students. The SummerTime Kids program has helped fund STEM camps at FSU for the past 8 years.
