Fayetteville State University is excited to host the prestigious Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCF) SOAR Program from July 26 to August 1, 2025. This transformative experience is designed for rising high school seniors (Class of 2026) who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to academic excellence.
What is SOAR?
SOAR (Seeking, Observing and Achieving Results) is a signature TMCF initiative aimed at preparing high-achieving students for success in higher education and beyond. Participants will engage in an immersive week-long experience on the campus of Fayetteville State University, gaining insight into college life, academic preparation, and professional development opportunities.
What to Expect
During their time on campus, students will:
- Develop Leadership Skills: Participate in workshops and seminars led by industry professionals and university faculty.
- Explore College Readiness: Learn about the admissions process, financial aid, and tips for succeeding in college.
- Engage in Networking Opportunities: Connect with peers, mentors, and industry leaders to build lasting relationships.
- Experience University Life: Stay in on-campus housing, dine in the student cafeteria, and explore FSU’s vibrant campus community.
