Carla Peguese

(VOTE) Carla Peguese is a native of Charlotte, NC. She graduated with honors from Fayetteville State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science with a concentration in Chemistry. Ms.Peguese currently resides in Wilmington, NC, where she is employed with the Wilmington Police Department Crime Laboratory as a Forensic Chemist.

As an undergraduate, she was involved in various campus organizations to include the Forensic Science Club, President of the Green Team, the Bronco Cheerleading team, and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Despite the many hours of service to the University, she was on the Chancellor's List, Dean's List, a GlaxoSmithKline Woman in Science Scholar, and a Coca-Cola Scholar.

This Bronco is no stranger to serving her community. She is a member of the Alpha Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Ms. Peguese volunteers at work as a Camp Counselor for WPD's Annual Cop Camp and as an assistant coachfor the Police Athletics League - Cheerleading Program.

As an Alumna, Ms. Peguese continues to give her time and financial contributions to theuniversity whose alumni once helped her. Ms. Peguese is an active member of the Cheer PhiSmoov Alumni Chapter and served as Alumni 2016-2017 Co-Captain. She is currently the Secretary for the Lower Cape Fear Alumni Chapter of Fayetteville State University.

In 2017, she received the Meritorious Service Award from the National Alumni Association of Fayetteville State University. Ms. Peguese has a strong love for Fayetteville State University and is proud to serve her almamater in various capacities. She embodies the University's motto, Res Non Verba "Deeds NotWord" as she unselfishly gives back to her community and alma mater. Her ultimate goal is to become a catalyst among young alumni. She desires to continue to contribute, maintain, and strengthen the bridge that once helped her as a FSU Bronco (student). Ms. Peguese is a woman of class, grace, poise, and strength, which are characteristics of a queen. It is through her faith in God that all things are possible.
