Traffic and Parking Services
Property Security/Traffic Officers enforce the University Parking Ordinance and conduct daily foot patrols in buildings and around campus. The focus of these patrols is building security, personal safety of students and staff, and to maintain an active presence throughout the campus to deter crime.
All Fayetteville State University students and employees must register their vehicles to drive and park on campus. A vehicle is considered registered only when valid FSU parking permit is displayed. *Please note, all students, faculty and staff are required to present a valid driver’s license, valid vehicle insurance card and vehicle registration at the time of parking permit pick-up, even if you have registered the vehicle online.
Handicapped students and employees must display a current FSU parking permit and the NC HC Placard or a valid handicapped license plate. Only the individual who is issued the placard or plate may use handicap parking privileges on campus. The HC Placard must be registered in FSU's T2 System Parking Network. Persons temporarily handicapped by illness or injury may be issued special temporary handicapped permit allowing them to park in designated handicapped spaces.
Visitors must obtain a temporary parking permit to avoid citations (Visitor Information).
Regulations are enforced at all times. After 5:30 p.m., individuals with a current permit may park anywhere on campus except for handicapped, fire lanes, reserved, gated, and resident spaces. Citations must be paid within 10 days or will be overdue and may result in a hold.
Vehicles may be registered between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Department of Police and Public Safety located in the Mitchell Building, first window on the right or by using the Online Vehicle Registration.
