Online Degree Completion FAQ
No. Online Degree Completion (ODC) programs are only for major-specific courses.
All general education courses must be completed before you are admitted into an ODC program. If you still need general education courses, you will be considered a main campus student until completed.
No. Taking online courses does not mean you are enrolled in an Online Degree Completion program.
- ODC students are formally admitted into a specific online major
- ODC courses are upper-level, major-only courses
You must be officially accepted into an ODC program to take ODC courses.
ODC programs are designed for students who:
- Have already completed general education requirements
- Have at least 30 transferable college credits
- Want to finish their major coursework fully online
These programs are not intended for first-time college students.
If your general education courses are not complete:
- You cannot be admitted into an Online Degree Completion program yet
- You can be accepted into Fayetteville State University as a traditional student
FSU accepts transferable 100 level or higher courses with a grade of C or higher.
Once admitted:
- Your academic department will review your transcripts
- They will determine how your credits apply to your major
- They will confirm that general education requirements are complete
