Welcome to the beginning of your higher education journey! I am honored and blessed to serve as the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Fayetteville State University. Home to over 2,000 students and nearly 200 faculty, the college is the largest academic unit at the University and is crucial to institutional success. On behalf of our faculty, staff, and alumni, I want to thank you for choosing to study at one of North Carolina’s premier higher education institutions. In the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, we are first and foremost committed to the success and support of our students. Our talented and amazing faculty are eager to engage you while helping you develop a strong sense of social responsibility as well as strong transferable intellectual and practical skills. This includes communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and deductive reasoning to real-world problems. Here in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, we offer the essential skills and tools of effective leadership!
